Isabel Cummings wants to assemble it easy to get rid of clutter.
“We take the stuff you’re growing to feel guilty about if you put it in the garbage,” says the of good cheer manager of Burlington’s Reuse Mid-point.
That leaves a lot of scope, and the charity, run by both paid organization and volunteers, has a huge assortment of goods for yard sale.
Just about anything found in your house has a home somewhere in the centre’s 21,000 sq. ft. of well-organized aisles: Books, puzzles, sporting goods, trophies (from 50 cents), windows, doors, rugs, tiles, bathroom fixtures (including choice pink and turquoise), decorative accessories, appliances (a Thermador gas stove, $99), accoutrements, electronics, dishes, kitchenware, lots of lewd-leaf binders, tools, hardware, some clothing, drapes, linens, records, toys, cosset goods, cards, craft materials (some for Christmas), notions, wallpaper, exact replica frames, mirrors, lights, magazines, even crutches (“Ski mature’s coming,” Cummings laughs.)
