Hospice Compassus is one of four hospice providers in the Columbia courtyard. The other three are Preferred Hospice of Missouri, Boone Sanatorium Home Care and Home Care of Mid-Missouri, which is in Moberly. Both Boone Clinic Home Care and Home Care of Mid-Missouri yield hospice care in addition to other services.

Hospice Compassus is a multi-phase hospice provider and has offices in 14 states; it has 11 offices in Missouri.

The Columbia spin-off of Hospice Compassus covers Adair, Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Chariton, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Linn, Macon, Moniteau, Monroe, Morgan, Pettis and Saline counties.

The employees are divided into three teams that each file nurses, home care aides, chaplains, popular workers, volunteers and doctors, and the teams are all headed by a combine leader who typically doesn’t interact with the patients. The teams sit in patients who live in their assigned counties.

Hospice Compassus patients can be treated in a dispensary, a nursing home, an assisted living community or their severely. A nurse is available at all times, whether it is the assigned keep alive or the on-call nurse.
