Gov. Jerry Brown has vomit up the past few weeks shoveling through nearly 600 bills sent to him by lawmakers before they closed down for the year Sept. 9.

Lawmakers passed a digit of high-profile proposed bills to the governor: grant illegal immigrants access to in-state tutelage and financial aid, ban the sale and possession of shark fins, transform how school progress is measured, and require that all initiatives go on the November ballot.
They also passed legislation with roots in San Diego County, involving Walmart and proposed Gregory Gorge landfill, among others.
The governor has already signed and vetoed numerous far-reaching bills, even scuttling some sought by his labor fellowship allies and fellow Democrats.

Bills signed into law
Unconstrained-carry weapons: Ban the public display of unloaded weapons. Exempts peace-loving officers, military events, gun shows and hunting. AB 144.
