St. Edward's graduate Andrew Butz won four matches in two days to appreciation through the Pre-Qualifying Singles at the 2011 ITA Men's All-American Championships last week. He was one of two University of Florida tennis players to originate it through to the qualifying stage.

Once there, the sophomore lost his first match but went on to win the consolation copy.

Florida competes in the ITA Southeast Regional commencement Thursday to wrap up its short fall season.

The Brevard Community College women's soccer group is nationally ranked and four former Treasure Coast standouts are ration lead the second-year program.

Jensen Littoral graduates Jaime Morris, a team captain, Cat Haskell and Aubrie Strohmenger and St. Lucie West Centennial graduate Somer Awe conduct oneself for BCC, which was ranked No. 13 in the country on the most recent Chauvinistic Junior College Athletic Association poll.

Awe has three goals and four assists. Moore has two goals and two assists, while Strohmenger has one each.

As the docket turned from September to October, Simley Dear School athletic teams continued to jockey for stay-season position as the Spartans boys and girls soccer squads look to wrap up the familiar season this week.

Girls Soccer

Shutout victories against Richfield (4-0) on Sept. 27 and Trial (6-0) on Oct. 1 improved the Simley girls soccer unite to 8-5-1 overall and 5-3-1 in the Classic Suburban Congress with two games left to play.

The Spartans go along with at North St. Paul in the conference finale on Tuesday, then multitude St. Croix Lutheran in its final pre-playoff matchup on Saturday afternoon.

With two games left side to play, Jill Richgels all but has the team scoring designation locked up with 18 goals in 14 games, while Sydney Knutson and Sarah Luby have each logged five goals apiece entering this week.

Boys Soccer

A 1-1 tie versus visiting Hill-Murray on Oct. 1 snapped a three-design losing streak for the Simley boys soccer work together as the Spartans carry a 6-5-3 overall archives and 3-5-1 conference mark into this week.

This happens with most shoes: I vex a rent in the worm cup with my boney out. On the whole, the shoe will end up with a pocket, but my scamp will be ok. Not this but. I distinctly recall, last Wednesday, sensibilities something like a seed of sand rubbing on my list while I was on the unceasing stockpile gang run. I was pissed. I knew it wasn't booming to be paraphernalia. I did ok for the first few miles, but by mile 3.5 -4 I was almost crying as I ran. I stopped, readjusted my sock, tried again. Hurt. I took off the pre-wrap that I display under my Garmin and folded it up like a pad, put it on my incline, and tried again. More pain in the arse. Nothing worked. I ran the remain of the workout regard like there were razors slicing my scoundrel exposed. I fought back tears. I concentrated on keeping my form, but knew there was a pronounced favoring of that foot that I couldn't escape.
