A uncomplicated hand tool that feels like a thumb and helps anyone give a advantage massage regardless of hand strength has led the Portland Chapter of the Oregon Combination Of Business & Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. to name Susan Baer its 2011 Portland Firm Woman of the Year.
Ms. Baer helped create the Thumbby™ Soft Massage Cone (permit-pending) and co-founded the Thumbby™ Performers in Portland in 2007. She is also Third Vice-President of the Oregon Chapter of the American Palpate Therapy Association (AMTA), which is holding its subject convention in Portland this week, Oct 19-22 at the Oregon Formality Center.
Ms. Baer wants to see massage become a typical part of one's wellness regimen. “Everybody is stressed these days, and handle is such a simple, beneficial activity. It reduces strain, lowers blood pressure, eases suffering, improves circulation, promotes healing, and increases feelings of well-being.
