International Orphan Hope is building a 9,000-right-angled-foot orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Ambition Village will house 50 infants, toddlers and preschoolers, as well as any older siblings they may have. Twenty percent of the children will be "especial needs" -- children whose physical and developmental vigorousness problems make it unlikely they will ever be adopted or, in some cases, get along on their own. Those children will be cared for all their lives.

"In Haiti, orphans are considered the least (of its people). Unconventional needs are the least of the least. Usually they are abandoned and left to die of starvation," said Browne, who has two peculiar-needs children.
