KIDS are at serious risk as floods continue to confound Thailand – according to charity Script International.
Heavy rains are affecting 2.4 million people across the power, including about 700,000 children.
“The army of evacuation centres is set to grow from 500 to 900 and we’re anticipating vital problems with keeping young people permissible from harm and abuse,“ says Maja Cubarrubia, Provinces Director in Thailand for Plan International.
“Some shelters have been set up on construction sites, which is a worst safety concern for children – while, at many camps, strangers are allowed to steal around unchecked.”
